changes!

... and hopefully some improvement.... going for clean, simple, and yes a new department (working on the old one felt perpetually like herding cats. a lost cause. this new one feels more appropriate for the magazine)

so here's what spent the evening sitting on my desk at home...............

*so what's the deal with the name? good question. since this is more or less a "lifestyle" magazine (as i understand it)--- youth culture, style, and so forth-- i had trouble coming up with a good name that was neither a cliche nor too obvious. nor already used. "chou" is french slang, something familiar you'd call a young female along the lines of darling or cutie (but not that dumb). i thought it hit on the "international/euro" thing i'm going for too. but it also won't make sense to anyone, so i'm working on something else. something in english....
